About Us

In 1998 Shapiro Consulting Group, Inc., (SCGI) (formerly Shapiro 3D Model Inc., founded April 1994) became a technology incubator for software tools that would benefit theatrical, broadcast and home video productions.

In this role, SCGI's first research and development goal was to improve the aesthetics of video (analog and digital) to match the quality of telecine-transferred film at a relatively low cost. The results, the Asiva Broadcast Digital Enhancement System (First Generation Process). This process embodies a propriety-patented technology, which supports the company’s software products, i.e. Asiva® Photo, Asiva® DV, Asiva® Broadcast and Asiva® High Definition.
