Asia Pacific Projects, Inc. (APPI) is a specialized tourism consulting practice that provides management consulting, human resources development, and marketing services to investors, operators, and public sector policy makers in the fast growing Asia-Pacific region. Through its affiliate, the Asia Pacific Tourism Training Institute, APPI also provides tourism manpower training, and train-the-trainer services.
APPI has been operating since 1992, and our principals, headed by Ms. Narzalina Z. Lim and Mr. Ludwig G. Rieder, together have over 50 years' experience in public and private sector tourism industry planning, research, project development and management, and tourism education and training.
Ms. Lim commenced her tourism career at the Manila Hilton in 1967 and moved from there to convention organization and management as a professional conference organizer. In 1986, she was appointed by the Philippine President as Undersecretary for the Department of Tourism, responsible for policy, planning, and development. She subsequently served as Secretary of Tourism under two Presidents. After leaving public office in 1992, she established Asia Pacific Projects, Inc. with Mr. Ludwig G. Rieder and the Asia Pacific Tourism Training Institute of which she is the full-time Director.
