ARTRUSSIA online resource was founded in 2001 by a Russian businessman Valentin Khegai. Surprising as it seems but just at the same time the founder's four-year-old daughter started to study painting at one of art schools for children in Moscow.
As soon as December 2002 ARTRUSSIA became a leader among online resources dealing with fine and decorative art (according to Yandex, an authoritative Russian browser).
Apart from modern art pages our online catalogue has a section of 'Rarities' which includes images of fine art masterpieces from the Tretiakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, the Hermitage, the Pushkin Museum collections as well as other museums and galleries of Russia.
