Joy Elaine Praznik Sweeney is a graduate of the Cleveland institute of Art with a major in Painting. She joined the Creative Department of American Greetings Corporation, and her career there followed a steady progression of responsiblity and influence. She became the first elected female vice-president of the coporation. After 35 years of service, she retired and returned to the Cleveland Institue of Art for advanced studies. She remains involved with C.I.A.
