About Us In 1954, Donald McLean, Sr. decided to convert his farm to a golf course. It was located in an area where there was a lot of history. Being the former sight of the Lenape Indians and only a few miles away from Daniel Boone's homestead, this was no ordinary farm. The log cabin was built in 1703 and the deed was signed by Daniel Boone's uncle, George Boone.
