Arnor is the name of the Northern Kingdom of the Dúnedain of Middle Earth. Founded by Elendil after the fall of Númenor at the end of the Second Age, Arnor was divided into three smaller kingdoms after the death of Eärendur, the tenth and last King of Arnor. Despite years of war and the eventual collapse of the kingdoms, the line of the kings survived. At the end of the third age of Middle Earth, Aragorn son of Arathorn reunited the kingdoms of Arnor and Gondor.
