National Museum of the United States Army and the Army Historical Foundation
Description
ongoing fight to help that country obtain their own liberty, the American Soldier has made hard choices, sacrifices and history. Crucial, pivotal history worth preserving. Without a proper museum to house it, something of great value will vanish. Not images of war. Not military heroism, medals, the glory of victory, or the sting of retreat.
What will be lost is the history that made your city what it is, directly affected your ancestors and formed your very opinions in peace and war. Because that's what a comprehensive history of the U.S. Army is; it's inextricably intertwined with you, your family, your town, your world.
This is not a repository for dusty helmets and paintings of generals. It's history that is a part of you. We invite you to be a part of it, and the preservation of it. The the National Museum of the United States Army project is a public/private partnership between the United States Army and the Army Historical Foundation. The Foundation is the official fundraiser for the National Museum of the United States Army. We invite your support and participation in this great effort.
