The On-line Archives of Rheumatology is a collection of scientific and educational material dealing with the clinical manifestations, laboratory investigations and the treatment of rheumatic diseases. It was founded in 1996 at the beginning of the World Wide Web era by the staff of the Department of Rheumatology of the University of Padova. At that time the usual modem connection was at the speed of 24Kb and the downloading of images was very slow.
