- I have worked in tourism for 20 years; much of this time spent in organising tours in Scotland, and have travelled extensively at home and abroad.
- Iceland, Israel, New Zealand and Brazil were destinations where as a guest of local tourist organisations, I was able to appreciate their tourism in greater depth. My adventurous side means I have trekked in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the Sinai Desert in Egypt and in the Italian Dolomites. In North America I have visited the Rockies and enjoyed a canoe expedition in Ontario's Algonquin National Park.
