Dr. Ardavanis was born in Athens Greece. He graduated from Protipos Evageliki School, one of the leading high schools in Greece, in 1973. After two years of special studies in maritime communications he joined the Greek merchant navy as a communications' officer and he travelled around the world. In 1977, he emigrated in USA. Dr. Ardavanis obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees from Villanova University in 1981 and 1984 respectively.
