- 5:45 on a Thursday afternoon in late January…the dust has settled from the last of my employees departing for the day and the phone rings. Do I answer? I look at the caller ID and see it’s an architect friend of mine so I answer. He says I have an interesting project coming up and this piqued my curiosity. He told me that mutual contractor friends of ours were asked to be the builders on an upcoming “ABC Extreme Home Makeover” and before he could finish I told him “I want to help”, without any reservations. This was strange for me, as I know we are all hounded day after day to donate to or sponsor this and that. But I have seen this show and I must admit on numerous occasions it has moved me. I consider it to be just about the only show on television with redemptive value…add to that that my friends were in it. Count Apogee in for whatever you need.
