About Apogee Adventures- Youth and Teen Summer Outdoor Adventure Trips
Apogee offers outdoor youth adventure travel. Our goal is to provide students with safe, well-designed trips to spectacular outdoor locations. We travel in small, supportive, co-ed groups led by dynamic, responsible, and well-trained leaders. In this supportive and wholesome environment students will be encouraged to move beyond their comfort zone and to stretch their limits. Travelling by their own power, students will take safe risks and achieve new heights. Apogee's primary goal is for students to have fun, form lasting friendships, and to return home with a feeling of accomplishment and self-confidence that will carry over into all aspects of life. We want you to reach your highest point, your own personal apogee.
To ensure an intimate, close-knit experience, Apogee limits its group size to twelve students and two leaders (one male leader, one female leader). We have found this group size to be small enough to provide personal attention from the leaders to each of the students, yet big enough to make the students feel like part of a team. Teamwork is of the utmost importance to us. Through teamwork and group decision making, students will learn how to voice their own opinions while taking into consideration the needs of others. At Apogee each individual student is essential to the success of the group as a whole.
Most of all, what we require of you is to come to Apogee with an open mind and a positive attitude. Apogee trips do require a certain level of fitness, but all activities are well within the reach of any motivated and enthusiastic student. We suggest preparing yourself by incorporating regular exercise into your routine well before the start of your trip. If you come to us with those two things, a positive attitude and good fitness, you will have everything you need for your best summer ever!
