Our "focus" is on formal lighting from 1800 to the 1930's; including: Astral & Sinumbra Lamps CA: 1800-1860 that burned rendered Whale Oils; Carcel & Moderator Lamps CA: 1836-7875 that burned vegetable oils squeezed from Rapeseed; Solar Lighting CA: 1840-1860 (often called Astral) that burned lard and other rendered animal fats such as tallow; Gas Lighting CA: 1835-1930 including gas and combination gas/electric chandeliers, pendants, sconces, table, and outside lighting; Kerosene Era Lighting CA: 1885-1930's including Parlor Lamps, Piano Organ Lamps, Gone With the Wind Lamps, Banquet Lamps, Student Lamps, Coach Lamps, etc.; and Electric Era Lighting CA: 1885-1930's including Chandeliers, Sconces, Table Lighting, and Outside Lighting.
