- We knew that with the "right" software, Palm Powered PDAs would be the perfect tool for language learning. We thought that the "right" software would be very easy to use, support a wide variety of languages, and have an easy way to create study material. Although we found several applications that claimed they could do what we wanted, all seemed lacking in one way or another. Since there was no software that did what we wanted, we decided to create our own.
