After completing his Bachelors in Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Trichy,. He did his Masters in Chemical Engineering from the Michigan Technological University at Houghton, U.S.A. He then worked for Dupont U.S.A for 3 years before coming to India. On his return he began his career in the building materials industry as the Managing Director at Raasi Cement, a leading brand in southern India.
