An important challenge is to fi nd a balance between your solidarity with other men (and women) and your individual autonomy and independence. When we fail to think realistically and be grounded in accurate information, we set ourselves up for cognitive errors. Cognitive errors inevitably set us up to feel inadequate, a failure, and inept. Such feelings cause us to behave poorly.
