Emberline is a Vancouver-based band formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Anne Emberline. As a kid, Anne Emberline used to love pop music (think Paula Abdul, N.K.O.T.B., and Celine Dion) until, at the age of 12, she discovered grunge and noise rock. Her pop CDs hit the trash in exchange for the gutsy, hard-edged rock. She ditched her piano lessons for an electric guitar, and within months she was performing original material with her first band at the age of 13.
