- She studied harp with Margerita Cicognari at Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice and later on in the Conservatory of Paris where she became the favourite student of Pierre Jamais, the head professor of the harp course.
- Susanna Mildonian is the only harpist to have ever won first prize in all three major International Competitions: First prize in the First International Harp Contest in Israel, unanimous First Prize at the International Music Competition in Geneva and First Prize in the Marcel Tournier International Competition in Paris. She has also been awarded the prestigious Grand Prix du Disque in Paris.
