- Topanga Canyon, California has long been an artistic nest and in 1998 a group of musicians from varying backgrounds met for informal jams, laying the foundation for the band ambe. With an emphasis on creative group improvisation, the music fused elements of reggae, blues, funk, classic rock, dub and world music. The founding members of ambe: Andrew Behla (guitar and lead vocals), Chris Reed (guitar), Joel Epps (bass), and Dahveed Estrada (percussion) shared their passion for music deep in the canyon hills.
