- The Alumi-Tech truck cover was the "Brain Child" of Joe Menz, co-founder of Western Industries. Joe originally designed the truck cover in 1986 when his personal demand for a truck cover could not be met by existing truck covers on the market, at that time. Upon designing an original prototype truck cover, Joe re-engineered & refined the original prototype until he had a truck cover that met the rigourous demands and high personal expectations of Joe himself. By 1988, Joe had a truck cover that was tried, tested and ready for manufacturer under the registered trade name: Alumi-Tech.
