Alton Community Unit School District #11 is a unit district housing students in Pre-Kindergarten through the twelfth grade. Beginning in the 2006-2007 school year, we will be returning to K-5 elementary schools in response to parent suggestions that this organization will enable them to be more involved in their children's school than our current grade level organization and that this arrangement will reduce the number of school transitions for their children.
