- Hello! Thank you for coming to our site. I hope that you are enjoying some of the information which we have provided. This page is all about us, so if you just want to look at the pretty pictures on the other pages, we’ll understand….:)We met in college at the University of Southern Mississippi in the Fall of 2003. It was the beginning of my (Craig’s) life as I know it and as I have always wanted it to be. We met in Dr. McCoy’s Statistics class possibly only because I wanted to cheat off of her, but soon we became friends. We first spoke when I squatted beside her in the hallway outside of class and since she was on her phone, I told her to turn it off and talk to me. That was the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL friendship. After that, we dated on and off for a while and planned our lives together over the course of our next couple classes together. We dated until December 2004 when we got engaged during a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.The next step in our lives was getting married on December 17th, 2005. We were married in Hattiesburg, MS where we first met at a house called AshLeah Manor. Soon after, we bought a house in Byram, MS and moved to our home together. Through our many conversations in classes (in which we should have been paying attention) and through our relationship together, we realized several things very quickly:1. We loved each other more than we have ever loved anyone else.2. We wanted the best for ourselves and our family. 3. We wanted travel, culture, and knowledge to always play a strong role in our lives together. Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Public Health Administration in 2006 after receiving her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Psychology. She is currently employed at Mississippi Area Health Education Centers as the Program Administrator and also as a Pharmacy Technician on a part-time basis. Craig received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005 and graduated from Mississippi College with his Master’s in Counseling Psychology in 2008. Craig works for SON Valley ICF/MR as the Staff Psychologist and also for Dr. John Jolly, Psy. D. on a part-time basis. We both plan on obtaining our Doctoral degrees upon our return from our around the world trip. Jennifer would like to someday be an administrator in charge of a large foundation to provide health care to impoverished people, disaster areas, and the under-served populations around the world. Craig would like to teach college and/or have a private practice in testing/counseling/or sport psychology someday. We decided to take this journey around the world sometime during the summer of our first year of marriage. We knew that we have always felt called to help other people and we wanted to make that a priority during our trip. Because of this, we will search out volunteer opportunities in every country that we enter and we will attempt to shed some light on someone’s life in every place we go. During our planning for this trip, we have spent numerous hours in bookstores, have begged family members for books and gear for the upcoming trip, and have cut our lifestyle a lot to afford the trip. I (Craig) am currently planning to write a book about our trip and the places we visit and have it published after we return in 2009. Wish me luck!!!
