The Alliance of Angels (AoA) is a regionally-focused group of about 140 individual investors and representatives of investment corporations. This group uses an online, members-only resource to view business plans submitted by new technology companies. Selected early-stage companies then have the opportunity to present their business plans at an AoA monthly membership meeting. Through this process, the AoA acts as a "matchmaker" for young technology companies and interested investors.

The Alliance of Angels is a program of the Technology Alliance (TA) - a statewide organization of leaders from Washington’s diverse high-tech businesses, research institutions, and the community dedicated to building and sustaining a vibrant technology-based economy in our state.

In 1997, a small group of private investors and members of the TA formed the Alliance of Angels (AoA) to help support the TA mission. The AoA is a group of individual accredited investors who are interested in taking equity positions in early-stage technology companies which are currently headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. The purpose of the AoA is to support the development of new high-technology companies by facilitating more efficient access to capital. We do this by having an organization that focuses on the needs of investors and by bringing high quality investment opportunities to the attention of our members.
