It all began a long time ago when an aspiring webmaster began to work on a little site called ChronoCross.com. At the time it wasn’t the best site in the world but its popularity quickly taught this young webmaster the skills needed to make and run a great website. But something happened, he got bored to death of working on a site that only provides info for one game. Somehow it wasn’t enough. First he started to make a Final Fantasy site, but he quickly realized that he was wasting his time. There are literally thousands of Final Fantasy sites on the internet. Then it hit him, there aren’t nearly enough great RPG sites on the internet that are both professional and informative. Thus the idea behind AllRPG.com began to take shape.

On September 2000 Aaron Pepper and friend Kris Wood began construction on what will soon be one of the most complete RPG sources on the internet. The forums were launched and the community started to take shape even before the site itself was officially launched. After many revisions the site was finally launched on October 25th of 2000. This marked the beginning of something special. The popularity of AllRPG quickly shot through the roof, growing even faster then anyone expected. AllRPG was exactly what the RPG hungry community needed, a place where they can meet others with similar interests while staying informed of all the latest RPG news and information. Things were a little shaky at first and a lot has happened since that faithful day in October. Enough to write a small novel.

When we first started to plan AllRPG we wanted it to be a place for fellow RPG fanatics to come together. But we didn’t want to be known as just a large message forum, we wanted to be known for our content and journalism above all else. All of the previous versions of AllRPG have been known mostly for their forums and news coverage. Now with AllRPG 4.0 we believe that we have reached our goal of living up to the "All" RPG name by having content that will match or outweigh the forums by comparison.
