AlfaNum speech technologies - speech synthesis and speech recognition on Serbian and other south-Slavic languages. The AlfaNum company consists of number of experts striving to bring the world of modern speech technologies closer to a wide range of users. At a moment, the AlfaNum company is the only one that has created software components for high-quality speech synthesis and recognition in Serbian and some other south-Slavic languages. Beside software components themselves, a multitude of application and products has also been developed, more less related to automatic speech recognition (ASR) and Text-To-Speech Synthesis (TTS). All CTI applications in the region of former Yugoslavia including ASR and/or TTS features are our achievement. Today in this region there are hundreds of telephone lines used by computers that receive phone calls and provide required information and services via speech communication. Scientific research and development within the AlfaNum team are carried out by a group of experts working at the Department of Communications and Signal Processing at he Faculty of Engineering in Novi Sad, Serbia.
