- aldermans was established in Plymouth in 1969 by Bill Alderman, primarily as designers and manufacturers of press and progression tools and suppliers of volume pressed metal components.
- By 1980, the company had moved into larger premises and begun manufacturing bespoke sheet metal components as a sub-contractor. Business expansion continued and in 1986, shop fittings were added to the existing broad range of manufactured components. Today, aldermans offer a full design and manufacturing service.
