- Although most of the population in the synod is in Alberta, the Synod oversees the spiritual care of its members in the Far North. With congregations in Whitehorse, YK, and Yellowknife, NWT, and in cooperation with the Anglican Church of Canada, other mainline protestant denominations and para-church organizations such as On Eagles Wings and Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots, the Synod effectively provides for the spiritual care of all of its members throughout the synod.
