Description
The City of Alameda Democratic Club is a grassroots organization started in 1987 and chartered by the Alameda County Democratic Committee.
Membership is open to all Alamedans (and "outsiders" who share our mission) who are registered Democrats and wish to work together for common social and political goals. Our membership exceeds 200. We have been selected on three occasions by the County Central Committee as Club of the Year!
The club is a place where you can become part of Alameda's community life. We number among our membership, state and locally elected officials, representatives of numerous advisory bodies, civic, business and professional leaders, older folks, younger folks, and those just wanting to find out more about the Democratic Party. We are open to new ideas and people. We welcome participation at all levels of club activity. Most of our members are Democrats of centrist and liberal persuasion working together to find common ground so that we can be the most effective.
