Since the January 1st 2000 the State Unitary Enterprise "Bashkirian Airlines" has been divided into two independent structures – the State Unitary Enterprise "Bashkirian Airlines" and the State Unitary Enterprise "Ufa International Airport".
In 1992 the passenger and cargo turnover of the airport has increased significantly, reaching the following figures: 1 137 400 passengers, 4800 tons of cargo and 490 tons of mail. The peak of cargo transportation turnover through the Ufa Airport in 1980 achieved 25300 tons of cargo and 2740 tons of mail. The peak volume of passenger throughput in 1990 was 1 479 800 passengers.
