- It all started in 1999 when Darin Talbot's song "Tweeker Shred Master" off his debut "MUSIC FLIGHT" won *BEST NEW SONG* honors at one of the first online music festivals; securing Talbot an invitation to perform during the awards ceremony held at the PLAYBOY MANSION in Los Angeles, to hang with Hef and open for THE BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA. That same summer, Bill Graham Presents tapped Talbot to open on the small stage for THE BEACH BOYS at Sacramento Valley Ampitheatre.
- In 2001, with his sophmore effort "TAHOE BACKCOUNTRY", Talbot returned with more songs about snowboarding. Played nationally on Radio Disney and on the All Star Radio Network, it also saturated the local media market.
