- The Consortium’s vision is to promote an effective global response to HIV and AIDS that contributes to sustainable development. It’s mission is to encourage, initiate and support collaborative action by civil society to contribute to and influence the global response to HIV and AIDS.
- Twenty years after the first clinical evidence of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome was reported, AIDS has become the most devastating disease humankind has faced. Since the epidemic began, more than 60 million people have been infected with the virus, the majority from developing countries.
