- The Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha‘at Islam Lahore was founded in Lahore (now Pakistan) in 1914 by some senior companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (d. 1908) with the chief object of the propagation of the true picture of Islam, as a tolerant, rational, peaceful and liberal faith. This propagation work is done by publishing literature and establishing missions, centres and branches of the Movement around the world.
