- About The Artist
- Rick Ross is an artist, writer, and filmmaker who started drawing before he could talk and hasn’t stopped since — drawing or talking. At age 7 he drew his first comics, at 9 won his first juried art competition, at 12 was published in his first newspaper, at 13 had his first one man show, and at 14 completed his first animated film. Between going to art school and film school, Rick has done cartoons, comics, graphic novels, fine art, and over 20 films. He has been published in seven newspapers and comics presses, shown work in galleries in North America and Japan, and had his award-winning film “Backslide” shown around the world as well as broadcast by the Independent Film Channel and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Rick lives and works in the Los Angeles area with his wife, Trisha.
