Age Concern Cookstown is an independent local charity affiliated to Age Concern Northern Ireland, which is committed to promoting the rights of older people through campaigning and service provision.
The organisation was founded in 1985 by a group of people from the Cookstown area who were concerned about the lack of community activities and services available for older people in the area.
In 1989, the Age Concern thrift shop was opened. In 1992, Age Concern Cookstown started its first luncheon club with facilities that seated 25 people.
