Africa has a wealth of talented professional photographers equal to the challenge of providing a cover shot for Geo, The New York Times or Condé Nast. Many, however, lack access to markets, delivery systems and even quality equipment to enable them to realise their potential. Access is also a challenge to publications and picture buyers outside Africa (and even within Africa) who are wanting pictures from Africa. africanpictures.net has a vision to enable picture buyers and photographers to access one another so that African photographers can tell Africa’s story on the international stage.
