- With the welfare of the breed ever in mind, the club actively tries to inform its prospective and current members/owners about responsible ownership, health, care and training whilst at the same time enjoying the companionship the dogs themselves. New events are tried and if successful, added to the calendar and club publications, like the Judging handbook are updated and improved upon.
- Founded in the early 1980s by a handful of enthusiasts, the Affenpinscher Club has gone from strength to strength, with a wide ranging membership of pet owners, exhibitors, breeders and friends. The club's main objectives are no different to those of most breed clubs, promoting the breeding of pure Affenpinschers; maintaining breed type and protecting and advancing the interests of the breed for future generations of Affenpinscher enthusiasts.
