Adventure Associates was formed in 1973 - the first and longest established Latin America tour operator in Australia. We have arranged group and independent tours to Latin America and México, including the Amazon and Galapagos Islands for over 27 years, enabling us to gain a reputation of being the best in our field.

As Australia's pioneer travel company to Antarctica and the High Arctic, we have organised or been involved in expeditions to most polar regions, including the historic Ross Sea, the spectacular Antarctic Peninsula and sub-Antarctic islands such as South Georgia and Macquarie Island, as well as the remote Weddell Sea and East Antarctic regions.

Adventure Associates is a proud full member of the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators, known as IAATO. A member organization, IAATO was founded in 1991 to advocate, promote and practice safe and environmentally responsible private-sector travel to the Antarctic. It aims to represent Antarctic tour operators and others organizing and conducting travel to the Antarctic to the Antarctic Treaty Parties, the international conservation community and the public at large. All IAATO members must operate within the parameters of the Antarctic Treaty System, including the Antarctic Treaty and the Protocol on the Environment and Annexes, along with MARPOL, SOLAS and similar international and national laws and agreements.
