- Joseph Broadmeadow served for 20 years with the East Providence (RI) Police Department retiring with the rank of Captain. Captain Broadmeadow served as Commander of the Investigative and Administrative Services Divisions and was responsible for managing all investigative services of the department. He was personally involved in a number of significant multi-jurisdictional investigations and supervised many of these under the direction of the US Attorney’s Office and the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General. He was also assigned to the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) and spent time detailed to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF), and the FBI.
