- At Adams Horse and Mule Co. we are committed to finding Top Quality Trail Horses!!! All our horses that we offer up for sale, fit into the same basic mold, except they just come in different sizes and colors. The mold (basic qualities) we look for in a horse is one that has a: Gentle Disposition, Loving and Affectionate personality towards humans, Non Spooky on the Trails, Lots of Experience on the Trails, and a horse that is Odd, Beautiful, or Loud Colored. We work everyday one on one with each individual horse. We put each horse through our own Test Trails to see just how “battle” tested they really are. We ride our horses in the woods, across trees and streams. We encounter all sorts of wildlife from deer to turkey. We also regularly encounter dogs of all sizes. We ride our horses on the blacktop roads around our farm where we ride by four wheelers, motorcycles, cars, trucks, semi trucks, logging trucks, dairy trucks, school buses, and farm tractors with equipment. The ones that we judge to be good, gentle, safe, sane trail mounts are then put in training to become what we view as the perfect trail mount.
