- The NZSA is the professional body for actuaries practising in New Zealand. Our purpose is to ensure the work performed by actuaries in New Zealand meets internationally recognised professional standards.
- The NZSA was originally known as The New Zealand Actuarial Club founded in 1957 and was formally incorporated as the New Zealand Society of Actuaries in 1976. At the end of 1976 there were 35 Fellows and 18 Associates.
