Action Typesetting & Printing was started in 1979 when Larry Lancaster purchased Maverick Publications commercial typesetting business and renamed it Lancaster Graphics. The firm was located downtown behind what is now the Deschutes Brewery and building that has since been torn down and replaced In 1984 Larry purchased the 632 NE First Street property and remodeled it to hold the typesetting business and the paper supply business, The Paper Warehouse.
