- Alice Simmons was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. At age nine her family moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi were she remained until going to college. She attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Before going to Savannah to complete her post graduate work, she spent a brief period of time touring and studying in southern Italy.
