Founded as a small literary agency by award winning writers and editors in 1986, Author's Connection Communications Group was expanded into a Multi-Media company engaged in book & music publishing, broadcast & private video production, audio recording and other industry related services during the 1990s. Originally founded as a literary agency in 1986 and operated from 710 NW 23rd Avenue in Gainsville, Florida by Walt Hughes,Sr., Katherine Hughes, and Cheryl Hewlett. In 1990 we converted to Author's Connection Press as a publisher of Children's books and in 1992 we moved operations to Nashville, Tennessee and affilliated with Broadcast Music (BMI) as music publishers (Author's Connection Music).
In 1997 we recieved accredation as studio and location video producers and editors afilliated with a number of broadcast channels in oregon. With the addition of Author's Connection Music Television (ACMTV) Productions we produced 150 popular one hour weekly series shows known as The Music From Oregon Show and aired them on cable TV stations along the I-5 corridor from the Eugene/Springfield area of central Oregon to stations in Portland and Vancouver, Washington.
Combining print, audio, and video into subsidiaries of Author's Connection Communications Group in 2000 we expanded again and today we are affiliated with a number of worldwide distributors of books, music, and video along with wholesale drop shippers of items that we market in ventures that are geared toward the online shopping markets.
