About Aasdl.org
Is to afford all AASDL members with legal assistance in departmental policies and ethics, grievances and standard operating procedures. Afford AASDL members a way to establish positive relations with all communities. In 1983, a charter was formed by the late Shelvy Steverson, Lt. Joseph Williams and Sgt. Robert Conners for the Afro- American Sheriff's League. The organization was first formed as a vehicle to unify African Americans and other minorities that shared a common bond of exclusion.
