The Atlanta Chapter of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) was established in 1980 with 20 charter members. Its current membership body is comprised of graduate business degree holders and current students, as well as entrepreneurs, who have distinguished themselves in the business arena. Nearly 60% of the chapter have an MBA. The Chapter's mission mirrors that of its parent organization – to lead in the creation of creation of educational, career and entrepreneur opportunities resulting in economic development for our members and community. The Chapter executes this mission via the activities of 10 standing committees, including Community Affairs, Economic Development, Government Relations, and Student Affairs.
