- Set amid the backdrop of Jena, a traditional optic location, asphericon produces complex optical components such as aspheres, free forms, parabolic reflectors, and axicons, using CNC machinery. The basis of the production process is a technology developed by asphericon implementing CNC grinding and polishing machinery which has the ability to simulate polishing operations. For the first time, asphericon is able to produce large quantities with medium precision levels and smaller quantities with high precision levels.
