- In 1992 we got a loan of a JCB, one of those big earth moving machines, and within a couple of hours what had been an area of gorse and bramble covered wasteland was transformed into something that had potential for BECOMING a garden. Eight years later we are a small bit proud of what the place looks like. (In quiet personal moments we are hugely pleased, but being of a modest nature we don't say this publicly. We might be heard to say "Yes, it has come on well, hasn't it" or "Isn't nature wonderful").
