Description

pulled from site's meta description

Built along Grand Avenue in Surprise just west of the future Loop 303 freeway, this 3,600 acre project is planning a full range of features including 14,000 homes, an adjacent one million square foot shopping center, new on-site schools, fire stations, parks, and recreational amenities. Located in the Northwest Valley, Asante will exist as a gateway between Surprise and the northwest desert. Visitors and residents alike will be greeted by the Old World style bridges, waterfall aqueducts, lakes, lush vegetation and unique architecture that lend refreshing originality accented by majestic mountain views. To explore the area, 27 miles of interconnected multi-purpose trails will be in place with pedestrian underpasses at major arteries. Some major amenities planned for Asante include a 55 acre regional park with sports fields, a catch and release fishing lake, playgrounds, and onsite schools. The first of the schools to open will be the Elementary school this fall. A Veterans Memorial and street named after local hero Pat Tillman underscore a strong presence of American patriotism. Also opening in 2009, Lennar has teamed up with Barclay Group, a Scottsdale-based shopping center developer, to build Surprise Spectrum, a 124-acre power center that will be comparable in size to Phoenix's Desert Ridge Marketplace. The $100 million development, at 163rd and Grand avenues, will include a national department store, grocery store, sit-down and quick-service restaurants, and other retailers. The first are planned to open in 2009.
