What is the AIPP?
The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) is Australia's leading industry association for the professional photography community. The institute was established almost 50 years ago in 1963 with the objective to promote the profession of photography and enhance the skill and knowledge of qualified photographers.
The photographic association's memberships are everyone from budding photographers to hardcore professionals with membership categories ranging from student membership through to fully accredited membership. Membership fees start from an annual fee of $75 per year. The benefits available to you will depend on your level of membership.
AIPP membership benefits include: • continuing education; • self development program; • events and seminars; • photographic awards.
To become accredited members with the AIPP, you must have been working as a professional photographer for a minimum period of two years or have completed a two year course in photographic studies from an approved training organisation. As part of the accreditation process, you must also submit a portfolio of images for assessment.
