- Welcome to the A-1 Computer Solutions Information Page. I would like to take this opportunity to Introduce myself. I am Richard Gory the Owner and Operator of A-1 Computer Solutions. My beginnings are humble, buying a new computer, setting it up and then crashing it. Of course that was back in Windows 95 and that wasn't very stable to begin with. I come along way since then, and so has Microsoft, learning a little bit as I went. I upgraded as each new version of Windows came out trying it, crashing it and finding out how it worked, and finding out what software fixed it or better yet kept it working. I have owned several Compaq desktops, a Sony Viao, and a Emachines laptop. As with all factory built computers they were all good but left alot to be desired. the other thing that always bewildered me was they couldn't be upgraded much and became obsolete within a year. In 2004 after years of research, unsatisfaction, and curiosity I decided to build my own multimedia super computer. I can say that not only was I excited that I did it, but all my friends wanted one too. So I started to build these custom computers for my friends, and then would bring them to their doorstep and set them up for a low price. The one thing they liked is that I knew what I was doing and that I could give real tech support that wasn't read out of a manual from Windows. I still maintain real tech support in real time. As the news spread that I actually was good at this computer hobby of mine, the phone started ringing, "Rick I have a Question" and thats when I decided to go into business repairing, building, and maintaining computers. In 2005 it became official, A-1 Computer Solutions was born. Still every chance I get I download new stuff, and try it out. I crave the microsoft website trying the new software and reading technical data to better serve my customers. I have found the great thing about technology is once your an expert, it changes and the learning begins again, it's endless. The World Wide Web is my playground of Information and I spend hours learning every chance I get. My credits include microsoft partner getting certified in every forum they teach, general knowledge of hardware and software, web design, and a desire to succeed in this business. Here at A-1 Computer Solutions I want every customer to understand, use, and enjoy their computer whether it's one of mine or not. Use my knowledge, pick my brain do what ever you have to to get the experience you need to utilize the technology of the 21st Century.
